Marginal Matters
Welcome to Marginal Matters – your go-to space for making economics click.
Hey! I’m Tanvir Ahmed, an Economics & Management student at King's College London with a passion for breaking down economic theory and building it back up with real-world relevance. I created this blog with one specific goal in mind: to help A-level Economics students go beyond the textbook and think like real economists.
Too often, students are left in limbo. The Economist can feel out of reach whilst the BBC doesn’t go deep enough - it’s no wonder exam answers fall flat without the right kind of application...but that’s where Marginal Matters comes in. Each article is built around the Edexcel Economics A specification (9EC0), mapping theory from Theme 1 to Theme 4 onto current events, policy decisions, and historical case studies. From the UK to the US, and from AD to QE, this blog connects classroom concepts with the world beyond it.
Think of Marginal Matters as your revision companion, debate guide, and essay booster. All rooted in clarity, packed with real data, and written with the A-level examiner in mind.
Let’s make economics matter. One marginal gain at a time.
